James McConnell leads NJ brokerage activities south of Essex County. He is a real estate investment professional with nearly 10 years of experience in acquisitions, property management, and brokerage. Most recently, James worked at a NY based real estate-focused private equity firm, backed by global investment partners. He was responsible for leading acquisitions activities outside of NYC and handled property management activities for the firm's portfolio properties throughout the east coast and southern US. As part of those duties, James underwrote over $15bb in real estate across various asset classes including multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality and was involved in the acquisition and management of nearly a half billion dollars of real estate. He graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University.

James resides in both NJ and NY. He is very involved with the New York Athletic Club where he serves on various boards and leads the NYAC Boxing Club. He also serves on the alumni board of his college at Columbia University and on various boards at New York City Ballet and ExpandEd. In his free time, James enjoys weightlifting, boxing, surfing, and sailing. He also loves to cook, read, travel, and watch movies with his family.
